As the sunbathed the horizon in a golden embrace, we stepped aboard the Riviera M370 Sports Cruiser, ready for a day of seafaring splendour. This 2004 masterpiece of maritime engineering promised an experience like no other.
The vessel, stretching to 12.34 meters in length, was powered by twin 320hp Mercruiser 6.2l engines, a symphony of power and precision. With room for up to 13 adventurers, it was our floating palace for the day.
The exterior was a sight to behold, with its two-tone hull blending shades of blue and white, a perfect complement to the azure waters around us. A full rear enclosure, adorned with three-sided front clears, cocooned us in comfort while maintaining our connection to the sea. Shade screens shielded us from the sun's embrace, keeping us cool and refreshed as the Air Conditioning filters up from the cabin. The exterior upholstery is in fantastic condition with soft teak carpet underfoot.
The transom teak had been recently restored, its rich brown hue adding an elegant touch to the vessel's exterior. Our eyes were drawn to the new RIB, cradled securely by a sliding davit system, ready for our on-water adventures coupled with a 3.3hp Mercury.
Stepping inside, we found a haven of comfort and luxury. The forward master suite welcomed us with an angled double berth, its air conditioning providing respite from the outside warmth. Natural light filtered through an overhead hatch, creating a serene ambiance.
Behind the master suite lay the saloon, featuring an L-shaped lounge that promised moments of relaxation. It converted into a Pullman-style bunk, with room for a couple below. Opposite, a fully enclosed head offered privacy, complete with a separate shower stall that felt like a private spa.
Our journey led us to the aft galley, where we discovered a cooktop, fridge, and even a microwave oven. This area allows effortless cooking with ample bench space and easy communication to the cockpit.
Further aft, houses the midships cabin. Unlike most sports cruisers this cabin is fully private, closed off by a bulkhead and door whilst still allowing standing room to get changed and featuring a full double bed.
Venturing upstairs to the helm and cockpit space, we found a vantage point for our maritime adventure. The helm, adorned with a woodgrain look dash, provided space for an array of gauges along with a new Raymarine Axiom 9” touchscreen display.
To starboard, the helm was our gateway to the open sea, and to port, a foldable section of the windscreen led us to the bow, accessible via side decks. The U-shaped lounge aft provided the perfect spot to relax and soak in the views. The drop-down fiberglass dinette and wet bar made it an ideal spot for entertaining.
As we explored the vessel's every nook and cranny, marvelled at its thoughtful design, and savoured the thrill of the open water, we were reminded that adventure awaited below the surface too. A door through the transom led us to a spacious aft deck and swim platform, complete with a freshwater washdown.
The Riviera M370 Sports Cruiser had a history of yearly servicing and meticulous care. With its legacy of innovation and quality, it was easy to see why it had earned praise from experts in the field.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of orange and purple across the water, we knew that this day aboard the Riviera M370 Sports Cruiser would be etched in our memories forever. A day of exploration, relaxation, and pure seafaring joy.
