At 23—feet in length, the 215 Sundowner is just the right size for occasional overnight excursions. The cabin is equipped with convenient lighting and a CO monitor and includes u—shaped seating that converts to a sleeping area with storage hidden beneath the v—berth cushions. The slide-out head is discretely nestled in the cabin where bi-fold removable doors provide plenty of privacy.
Onboard entertaining is a pleasure, thanks to a refreshment centre with a solid-surface countertop, sink with pressurized water, handy trash container and a removable cooler. For added style and durability, cup holders are striking stainless steel.
Seating space abounds on the S215. Cockpit seats are adjustable "Comfort Ride" bucket seats with flip up bolsters. And the u-wrap stern seats make room for family and friends. Of course, seats feature AquaflexTM vinyl, tops in marine-grade upholstery, and the cockpit includes 40 oz. plush snap-in carpet over a fiberglass liner.
A walk-through transom enables easy access to the swim platform that features a deep reach, angled ladder with wide step pads for boarding comfort. Removing salt or sand is a snap with the aft freshwater shower. There’s an anchor locker at the bow, with overboard draining and storage compartment.
Regardless of how long you plan to stay out on the water, the 215 Sundowner’s plentiful storage is a great asset. The walk-through transom locker is large enough for skis, kneeboards or wakeboards. Plus there is geaerous space in the walkthrough, and hidden storage beneath the
stern seats.
While the 215 Sundowner helm is highly functional, it is also extremely attractive. Surrounding the tilt steering wheel and controls is the backdrop of poplar burlwood veneer with interesting knots and grains. The gauges are accented with stainless steel bezels, adding another stylish element to the helm.
The Faria gauges include a compass, tachometer With an hour meter, fuel gauge, oil pressure, speedometer, temperature, trim, and voltmeter. The plastic lenses in these gauges are specially coated to resist fogging and condensation. A depth sounder designed to alert boaters of shallow water is also built into the helm. And when it’s time for routine maintenance, the engine hatch has
electric-assisted lifts.
