About this vessel
Pure elegance and class "Oh Really" is a fine example of the Dyna 48 motor yacht.
Stepping aboard the fine teak swim platform of "Oh Really" you instantly feel the luxury feel that this motor yacht oozes. It's then that the deckware stands out. A hidden swim ladder under the teak, the wide transom door, a davit is fitted on the starboard corner to lift the tender onto the swim platform, solid stainless steel mooring cleats and finally a hatch down to the lazarette storage and engine room door.
Entering the cockpit the stylish stainless framed sliding doors lead into the saloon and allow a seamless transition into the spacious saloon. The teak decks are in fantastic condition and side steps lead up to the full-length side decks with a high bowrail giving "Oh Really" a mini-superyacht feel. On the bow there are two gorgeous sun pads, deck controls for the windlass, fresh water wash down and a spotlight.
Moving up the solid and secure molded staircase to the bridge the skipper and navigator have two (brand new) extremely comfortable helm chairs to command this fine vessel from. Behind this is a seating area that could easily handle 8 adults for rooftop sundowners or Harbour Cruises ensuring the skipper is not alone. The sweeping targa arch adds to the style and raked look of the vessel.
Back down the staircase and in through the aforementioned glass doors you are greeted with a bright and spacious saloon area with a dining area forward on the starboard side. This is also a fantastic place to set up a small work area if you are required to be on-call whilst cruising. Down a few steps and to port is a large galley, complete with a full fridge/freezer, two-burner electric cooktop and ample storage.
Accommodation on the 48 Dyna is comprised of two double cabins. The master in the bow has an en-suite and this big forepeak cabin has a rather splendid queen-sized island berth with a recessed foam-backed bedhead with a mirror and abundant lighting. The second cabin is across from the second/day head on the starboard side which is again fitted with a double berth, plenty of storage and a second TV.
Underfoot houses the twin Volvo Penta 480 hp engines, driven by twin shafts with 5-blade propellers these engines push "Oh Really" along at a great cruise speed of 18-20knots and tops out around the 28-knot mark. The engines have only ticked over the 700 hr mark and have been well maintained. The Lewmar bow thruster completes this set up and allows for full maneuverability and ease of handling when entering or leaving the marina.
Looking down on this Dyna 48 over a cold beer after bringing her down from Sydney Harbour, I couldn't help but imagine the cruising potential, she's truly a stunning vessel and whoever is lucky enough to have the chance to own her will not be disappointed.
